SAP Quality Award for ‘eAttendance’ project

Skoda Auto and S&T companies won already the second major award for their eAttendance project today. After winning the IT Project of 2010, the project’s quality was highlighted also by jury of SAP CEE Quality Awards 2011 contest that gave it the second major award in category of implementations in medium and large enterprises.

The Skoda eAttendance project provides a comprehensive overview of attendance, from detailed data of individual employees up to summary overviews. “The eAttendance allows the biggest Czech car manufacturer an efficient processing of attendance ensuring compliance with corporate rules. Staff presence and absence can be monitored, standby duty planned or holidays and overtimes traced and labour productivity evaluated,” said Jaroslav Safranek, Key Account Manager in S&T CZ.

Fierce competition in the automotive market forces Skoda company to get the maximum from its internal processes, and just in this area the electronic attendance monitoring system greatly helps. “The automated data capture using chip cards and terminals enabled us replacement of our older paperwork system. Thanks to it, we have eliminated all manual processing and evaluating of the employee presence, which significantly optimizes the work associated with the payroll processing,“ said Hana Antošová, Head of Process and system integration of management and support processes in the Skoda company.

With eAttendance, each employee also can instantly check his/her working time utilization, overtimes and holidays. “Data from our attendance system are transparent and always available. We have achieved a more efficient process of presence monitoring and payroll processing, with a positive impact on employee motivation,” summarizes the overall project effect Hana Antošová.
